When to Create and Share Your Wedding Registry
The CleverRegistry team · · 2 min read
Build your registry when you have enough space to enjoy choosing together. Your celebration plans and the questions from your guests are more useful guides than a rigid deadline. Treat the list as something you can refine.
Before you share
Choose your registry name and privacy setting, add a short welcome note, and build a first set of gift ideas. Include a few accessible options and check sizes, colours, and links. Preview the guest page from your phone before sending it to anyone.
As the wedding approaches
Update delivery preferences if you will be away. Review stock and remove items you no longer need. If you have a celebration before the wedding, decide whether it uses the same registry and make that clear to the host.
After the celebration
Keep your list available while late gifts arrive if that is helpful. Mark gifts as received, send personal thanks, and check your visibility setting again. Your registry can support the weeks after the wedding without requiring another round of gift requests.
Make it your own
Use CleverRegistry to bring your ideas into one wedding registry. Add the exact gifts you love, write a note about your preferences, and share one link when guests ask. Gifts are always optional; the most useful list reflects the life you actually want to share.
