Choosing Who Can See Your Wedding Registry

A registry needs to be easy to share with the people you love while respecting the details you would rather keep close. Choose visibility deliberately, and review the public page before sending the link.

Choose a visibility setting

A public registry can appear in registry search. An unlisted registry can be visited by people with its link but stays out of public search. A private registry is restricted. An unlisted link can still be forwarded, so it is not the same as a password or an invitation list.

Review your personal details

Decide whether to show your location, wedding date, and delivery information. Avoid putting sensitive payment details into a public description or Wishing Well note. If guests need private information, give them a way to contact you directly.

Check again when plans change

After the wedding, review the visibility setting and any delivery details that are no longer useful. If you change a registry’s visibility, test the guest view from a signed-out browser so you understand what another person can see.
